All Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires Members, their family and Club staff are invited to attend.
The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home is pleased to invite you to NightWood, a magical winter walk through the property that will immerse you in sound, light, and color. Inspired by The Mount’s unique setting, NightWood combines scenic elements, theatrical lighting, and a dramatic score to create seven unique scenes that evoke feelings of wonder and mystery. We hope you join us on this journey of the imagination!
This evening walk is free to the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires community, this includes Club Members, their families and Boys & Girls Club staff and their families.
What to Expect at NightWood:
- NightWood is an outdoor sound and light walk through the grounds of The Mount.
- The total route is approximately 3/4 of a mile through the woods and gardens and includes both paved and unpaved pathways, inclines, and stairs. Please use caution.
- Dress for the weather! Trails may be muddy or icy.
- NightWood is appropriate for visitors of all ages.
- While we love your dogs, dogs are not allowed at NightWood.
- Please be aware that due to uneven terrain, accessibility is limited. NightWood is not walker or wheelchair accessible. It includes stairs and rough ground. If you would like to discuss your specific concerns, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 413-551-5100.
COVID-19 safety measures:
- Please follow all directional signs and staff instructions.
- Masks are required when checking in.
- When touring NightWood, please travel in groups no larger than 10.
- Please maintain 6 feet from individuals who are not part of your household or group.
Please do not attend NightWood if any of the following are true:
- You or anyone in your group is experiencing any symptoms such as fever (100.0 and above) or chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, headache, muscle/body aches, runny nose/congestion, new loss of taste or smell, or nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
- You or anyone in your group has had “close contact” with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19.
- You or anyone in your group has been asked to self-isolate or quarantine by their doctor or a local public health official.
- Persons who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 according to the Centers for Disease Control (e.g., due to age or underlying conditions) are encouraged to stay home.
